The Green Balkans Wildlife Rescue Center team, an organization working very actively for the biodiversity and wildlife conservation in Bulgaria, has again shown its best. Yesterday, the saviors released a young pink pelican near the Burgas Lake “Vaya”, which was brought to them with two broken legs.

When brought to the Wildlife Rescue Center in the town of Stara Zagora, the pink pelican has two broken legs in a few places and was extremely weak. But the veterinarians volunteers begin day and night care for the injured bird. Placed ware special support rails of the Pelican’s legs, and since he is young, he does not lack appetite, and this helped to stabilize and then to heal.

The volunteers from the Center in the Stara Zagora proved once again as one of the best experts in wildlife and bird conservation in the country.

Here, thanks to them and their friends from the Via Pontica Foundation, who are studying and caring for the birds of the Burgas Lake “Vaya”, the young pink pelican has already a permanent home there!
