Cookie Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They allow the site to “remember” something about your visit — for example which language you chose. This page describes exactly which cookies viapontica.org uses and what they are for.

This site uses no advertising or tracking cookies. There is no Google Analytics, no social media pixels, no profiling and no exchange of data with advertising networks.

All of the cookies listed above are first-party — they are set by viapontica.org and do not allow tracking across other websites.

External embeds — videos and maps

Some pages contain YouTube videos and Google Maps. These do not load automatically. Instead you see a tile with a button. Until you click that button, nothing is sent to Google — neither your IP address nor any cookies.

If you do click, the content is loaded from Google’s servers and from that moment Google may store cookies on your device and process your IP address under its own rules. Videos are loaded through YouTube’s reduced-tracking mode (youtube-nocookie.com), although even that does not entirely prevent data being recorded.

You can read Google’s rules in the Google Privacy Policy and in the description of the cookies Google uses.

How to manage cookies

You can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. If you block the language cookie, the site will still work, but it may not remember the language you selected.

Relation to data protection

How we process personal data, who receives it and what rights you have is set out in the Privacy Policy. Questions can be sent to office@viapontica.org.
