More than protection. Restoration.
Via Pontica Foundation — biodiversity and ecosystem restoration in the Black Sea region
About Us
Via Pontica Foundation is a Bulgarian non-governmental organisation dedicated to biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and the sustainable management of natural resources. We work in the Black Sea region, focusing on wetlands and coastal ecosystems along the Via Pontica migratory flyway.
At Ecopark Vaya, part of the Burgas Lakes complex, we carried out a full ecosystem restoration of nearly 100 hectares of degraded land.
