The Via Pontica Foundation is proud to announce that the Chair of its Management Board, Ina Agafonova, took part as the organisation’s official representative in the sessions of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in Brussels.
This participation marks a key moment in expanding the foundation’s international presence and underlines its active role in the development of civil society and in advancing Bulgaria’s environmental and social priorities within the European Union.
During the meetings at the European Parliament and the EESC headquarters, leading topics were discussed relating to sustainable development, social innovation and the role of non-governmental organisations in implementing the European Green Deal.
The Via Pontica Foundation’s participation through Ina Agafonova consolidates its position as a leading environmental organisation, bringing together experts and communities around the cause of preserving natural heritage and promoting green policies.
“It is an honour for me to represent the Via Pontica Foundation within the EESC. This participation allows us to place our national priorities and good practices on the European stage, and to contribute to establishing Bulgaria as an active participant in decision-making processes in the field of sustainable development,” said Ina Agafonova after the forum in Brussels.
By joining the EESC network, the Via Pontica Foundation strengthens its contribution to European policies for environmental protection, social engagement and the building of a greener, more sustainable future for the generations to come.
